START/FINISH LOCATION:

Buttercup Pantry, 222 Main Street, Placerville, CA 95667. 

EVENT TIMES:

Mon - Sun 6:30am to 10pm. Closed Christmas. 

 PROCEDURE:  The metal file box, with the AVA logo and Placer Pacers logo is on a shelf behind the cash register station. Sign the log, take a map and have a great walk.  When you return, stamp your books, take a stamped envelope and mail your check, payable to the Placer Pacers.

PLEASE DO NOT INTERRUPT STAFF IF THEY ARE WAITING ON CUSTOMERS OR ASK THEM VOLKSSPORT QUESTIONS.

 WATER/RESTROOMS:  Restrooms available at start, along route.   PLEASE CARRY WATER IN HOT WEATHER.

 TRAIL RATING/DESCRIPTION:  The 5/10/20Km is rated 1B.  

The walk takes you along a city street, a dirt path, to a paved bike path.  Also, this walk is part of the Old Lincoln Highway route for those interested.

 DIRECTIONS:  From Sacramento take 1-50 eastbound to Placerville, exit RIGHT at Spring Street/CA 49. Turn LEFT onto Main Street. Buttercup Pantry is on the RIGHT, across the street from the Shell gas station. From Lake Tahoe, take 1-50 westbound, to Placerville. At 2nd stoplight turn LEFT onto Spring Street/CA 49, then turn LEFT onto Main Street. Buttercup Pantry is on the RIGHT, across the street from the Shell gas station.
